Yeah - the title was a little unfortunate and alarmist. Too bad because the article is pretty uplifting.

Around where I live, there used to be occasional vegetable gardens on railroad company property, adjacent to the tracks. I haven't seen any recently, though. If I do, I'll take a pic!

Wouldn't that be ba for you? I thought the ground around tracks was usually quite contaminated?

These were kind of up a hill and a good 50-75 feet from the tracks themselves, i.e. on higher ground. That would probably be OK ...
